2024 is just around the corner! There are plenty of New Year’s Eve events in and around Greensboro to celebrate the coming of the new year.

9:30 PM - 1 AM | $10 | Dance into 2024 at One Thirteen with live music, party favors, and a photo station.

8 PM - 12:30 AM | $139 | Get ready for a night filled with Hollywood glam, live performances, appetizers and desserts, a red-carpet entrance, and Havana Phil’s Cigar Bar.

8 PM – 2 AM | Tickets start at $40 | Melrose’s New Year’s Eve Platinum Party features DJ Crunk “Mr. Showtime” and requires cosmopolitan attire.

Free Admission Events

11 PM - 2 AM | free admission | Enjoy a fuss-and-frills-free party featuring live music.

9:30 PM – 12:30 AM | free admission | Enjoy “Greensboro’s only keg drop” and live music from Retro Vinyl.

12-10 PM | free admission | Celebrate the New Year “in Iceland” with a champagne toast at 7 PM (12 AM Icelandic Time). The event is family-friendly.

  • Goat Yoga - Summerfield Farms brings back its popular yoga class with miniature goats. Festive attire encouraged! 6 PM

  • Ugly Sweater Party - Think you’ve got the ugliest holiday sweater? Compete for a cash prize at The Blooming Board’s holiday party. 6 PM

  • Basketball Game - Cheer on the UNCG Spartans as they face off against the Virginia University of Lynchburg Dragons at Fleming Gymnasium. 7 PM

Friday, December 22

  • Ugly Sweater Night - Come to Summerfield Farms for an ugly sweater contest, live music, and a food truck. Free to attend! 4-9 PM

  • Pajama Party - Don your festive sleepwear and get ready to dance at Boxcar Bar + Arcade. 8 PM - 1 AM

  • Holiday Movie - Carolina Theatre presents two showings of It’s a Wonderful Life. 2 and 7 PM

  • Christmas Party - Enjoy live music and compete to take home the prize for the ugliest sweater at Garage Tavern. 8 PM

Saturday, December 23

  • Karaoke Night - Lift your voice at Oden Brewing with an event hosted by Don of Zero Dark Nerdy. 7 PM

Sunday, December 24

  • Acoustic Concert - Danny Skeel of Jukebox Revolver performs at Pig Pounder Brewery in a Christmas Eve special. 1 PM

  • Wine Pairing - Unwind at The Loaded Grape with three cookies paired with a specialty wine. 12-6 PM

Other News

  • New Bar: Dark Side Speakeasy Lounge recently opened in High Point. Patrons can make a reservation at the mysterious speakeasy by texting 336-422-1227. Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Athletics: High Point’s Junior Tennis Camp runs from December 27-29. You can register your child for the entire session or just one day.

  • Fitness: The new CycleBar in Greensboro is holding auditions for Cycle Instructors on January 6. The location will open December 28 at 2105 W Cornwallis Drive.

  • Arts: A partnership of local investors has plans to purchase the former Triad Stage building, which closed in June 2023. The new owners will bring a “creative vibe” to the historic building.

  • Transportation: Downtown Greensboro’s free Hopper Trolley service will be extended through June 2024. The service was originally set to conclude at the end of December.

  • University: NC A&T’s marching band, the Blue and Gold Marching Machine, has claimed the 2023 Division I HBCU Band of the Year title.

“Dome Sweet Home“

The Domes at Stock + Grain Assembly

  • Domes: Visit High Point introduced five public-use domes in the Social District on December 17. Each dome is uniquely decorated and offers a warm space to relax. They will be available to use until February 18.

  • Background: The domes were made available through a partnership with High Point X Design, Norwalk Furniture, Woodbridge Furniture, Cohab Space, and Baker McGuire Premium Outlet.

  • Details: Domes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, Visit High Point asks that groups limit their time to 1 hour.

  • Location: Stock + Grain Assembly

Upcoming Events

  • Grand Opening - Dive Bar opens its new location in High Point on December 27. The bar will feature arcade games, claw machines, billiards, darts, and more.

  • Winter WonderPark - Visit High Point City Lake Park on December 30-31 to see its festive holiday lights and decorations while enjoying train and carousel rides, mini golf, and more.
