The Tanger Center announced its 2024-2025 First Bank Broadway Season earlier this week. Team member Morgan attended the special sneak preview event, which included two performances from Broadway cast members.
The season features 7 outstanding shows:
Mama Mia!: September 17-22, 2024

Cirque du Soleil's Corteo - Experience the spectacular blend of acting and acrobatics in five exclusive shows at the Greensboro Coliseum. Available through Sunday.
Friday, March 15
Swiftie’s Night Out - Watch the extended cut of the Eras Tour at Summerfield Farms. 6 PM
Saturday, March 16
Spotlight Circus - Head to the Downtown Greenway for a free event with circus and dance performances, workshops, and activities for the whole family! Also available March 23 and 30.
Purrfect Tea Party - Join Misas Maid Cafe at Crooked Tail Cat Cafe Greensboro for an afternoon of petting cats, sipping tea, and playing cat-themed games! 12-3 PM
3.21 Dash - The annual 5K walk/run, in honor of World Down Syndrome Day, will be at LeBauer Park. 9:30 AM
Comedy Night - Laugh the night away at Oden Brewing’s free comedy show. 9 PM

Hiring: Guilford County Parks is hiring hourly summer staff for Bur-Mil Park, Gibson Park, Hagan-Stone Park, Northeast Park, Southwest Park, and the Passive Parks & Trails team. Learn more at an upcoming hiring event on March 20 and 23.
Hall of Fame: The former owner of Stamey’s Barbecue, Charles Stamey, was inducted into the NC Bar-B-Q Hall of Fame earlier this month. Stamey was one of seven inductees of the North Carolina Bar-B-Q Hall of Fame’s inaugural class.
Grand Opening: AKOKO-Greensboro celebrates its grand opening this weekend at 3821 W Gate City Blvd, Ste E. They specialize in boba tea, smoothies, Vietnamese Che, and other pastries.
Tree Canopy: The City of Greensboro secured an $825,000 grant from the US Department of Agriculture's Forest Service for a tree canopy assessment project called "Keeping the Green in Greensboro, NC." This initiative aims to address urban forestry issues in disadvantaged areas over five years in alignment with the City's sustainability efforts.
Federal Funding: The City of Greensboro is set to receive federal funding of nearly 7 million for Parks and Recreation facilities and the J. Douglas Galyon Depot. This funding will support various community projects including the A&Y Greenway, Bingham Park, Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex, and the J. Douglas Galyon Depot.
Soccer Facility: Carolina Core FC (CCFC) began constructing the Go-Forth Elite Performance Center for player development, set to open in 2025. The facility will feature advanced amenities including gym, medical facilities, and player lounges, supporting CCFC professional players.
