Christmas Trees for a Cause

Delancey Street Christmas Tree Lot is one of the many tree lots in Greensboro that pop up in late November, but did you know it supports a great cause?

  • What: The tree lot is part of the Delancey Street Foundation, a residential self-help organization for former substance abusers, ex-convicts, and those who have experienced homelessness.

  • History: The organization began in 1971 with four “residents” in San Francisco. Today, the organization has five locations in the U.S. and has served thousands of residents.

  • Why Christmas Trees? Delancey Street uses the holiday promotion as a sales skills training opportunity for its residents.

  • Details: The tree lot is located at 2108 N Church St. in Greensboro and is open Mon-Sun, 9 AM - 9 PM.
